Billy Goat Hill Shoot With Amani

It’s San Francisco and really, half of the shoots are windy adventures. It’s not ideal, but what are you going to do? I mean, there are a lot of things you can do. But that was supposed to be a rhetorical question.

The Location

Billy Goat Hill Park, one of my favorite locations. Yes, even with the wind. You can get a lot of different looks with the environment and when it’s sunny and the sun is setting, the lighting is lovely. It’s also windy and cold as the sun starts setting, so we didn’t go for that in this case.

The Model

As it often is, my wonderful friend, Amani.

The Shoot

I wish I had some cool premise for this shoot but really, we just like to shoot. So the goal is to get good shots, have fun, and not die trying. In that order, although the first two steps are interchangeable. Do yourself a favor and create with people you like because at the very least, you’ll enjoy the process.

We chose and outfit, shot in a specific spot, and then moved around slightly to get different backgrounds per outfit. It’s very easy to get a lot of variations in this locations and it’s a very tiny park so it’s all within the same block, essentially. There are places like Golden Gate park where there are a ton of options but you can make a day of it depending on what kind of variations of scenery you want. I personally enjoy these small places where you can do so much and San Francisco offers a lot of options.
